Ronald W. Keeling, O.D.

A graduate of Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Dr. Keeling attended Missouri State University and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri, St. Louis in 1987. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association and the Greater Ozarks Optometric Society.

Dr. Keeling is a former leader in Boy Scouts of America, is married, the father of two sons and has practiced in Springfield since 1987.

Brenda A. Carrell, O.D.

Dr. Carrell received her Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University in Springfield, and she earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association and the Greater Ozarks Optometric Society.

Dr. Carrell enjoys spending time with her children, and she has spent many years teaching Sunday School and as a leader with the Girl Scouts of Missouri Heartland. Dr. Carrell has practiced with the clinic since 1994.

Bary M. Brown, O.D.

Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He practiced in Fremont, Nebraska before moving to Springfield in 1977. Dr. Brown served on the board of trustees of the Missouri Optometric Association for ten years and is past president. He also has been a long time board member of the Arc of the Ozarks and was chairman for four years.

Sunshine Eye Clinic is a proud member of Springfield’s Best Locally-Owned Companies and Dr. Brown served as past President of the organization. He has also served on the professional advisory board of the Missouri Association of Children with Learning Disabilities and is a past chairman. He has served on the board of his Kiwanis Club and as deacon to his church, First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Kathy, have a son and a daughter.

Chris H. Boschen, O.D.

A native of Springfield and a 2003 graduate of Hillcrest High School, Dr. Boschen received his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri in 2007. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Boschen received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He then completed a year-long Primary Care Residency at the VAMC Outpatient Clinic in Mt. Vernon, MO before joining Sunshine Eye Clinic in 2012. Dr. Boschen is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Greater Ozarks Optometric Society.

Dr. Boschen enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley and their two sons, Henry and Tucker. Dr. Boschen and his wife are active members at High Street Baptist Church. Dr. Boschen is an avid golfer and Missouri Tigers fan.
